Why a game is hidden for a marque
Updated
Some games do not appear for some marques. We would rather hide a game than lower the bar on what counts as a checked fact, or pad it with weak questions. The bottom of the Play page, under Not ready for this edition yet, names each hidden game with its reason.
What each reason means
| The app says | What it means |
|---|---|
| too few of its specs have been double-checked | The game runs on figures from our catalogue, and we only use rows checked by a person. This marque has too few of them for a varied round. |
| too few of its makers' codes are verified and truly hidden | Chassis Plate needs at least 7 usable codes, none printed in the car's name. |
| too few of its cars have a full checked record | Test Mule needs 40 cars with year, layout, cylinders, power and weight all checked. |
| not enough hard questions for a climb yet | Summit Run needs a stock of hard questions. |
| its images are waiting for a person to check them | The Loupe and Under Wraps show an image only after a person has approved it. A machine proposes crops and outlines, and it is not allowed to approve them. |
| its question bank is still being verified | No live questions yet. |
| its photos are not published yet | Spot Check needs published photos. |
| its timeline is not ready yet | Road Book reads the marque's timeline. |
| not enough verified content yet for a round worth playing | The pool is too small to draw from honestly. |
Some of those messages add "All marques has it", which sends you to the All marques tab. Today that is right for everything except The Ringer, which is hidden there too.
What can be played where, today

Can I ask for a game to be opened?
No form does that, and it depends on checked data rather than on demand. A game opens by itself once a marque meets its bar.
