Time zones
Updated
The whole game runs on one clock: midnight in Madrid (Europe/Madrid). The daily, your streak, practice limits and weekly boards all turn over then. Your device's time zone changes nothing.
What time is that for you
| You are in | Midnight in Madrid is usually |
|---|---|
| Canary Islands, Lisbon, London | 23:00 the evening before |
| Madrid, Paris, Berlin | 00:00 |
| New York | 18:00 the evening before |
| Los Angeles | 15:00 the afternoon before |
| Mexico City | 16:00 or 17:00 the afternoon before |
| Tokyo | 07:00 or 08:00 the same morning |
For a few weeks a year the gap shifts by an hour, because countries change their clocks on different dates.
Travelling
Your streak needs one finished round on each Madrid day, not one on each of your days. Flying west can make a long day feel like two, and flying east can squeeze one. If you could miss one, pause your streak.
When clocks change
The game counts calendar days in Madrid, so a clock change neither loses nor adds a day to a streak.
Dates in your plan
Renewal dates on the Plan page are shown in Madrid time.
