Fair play: flags and how to appeal

Updated

If a round has several answers faster than anyone can read, it comes off the leaderboards until a person looks at it. Nothing else happens to the player.

What gets a round flagged?

Answers faster than a reading floor, which is generous on purpose: 0.7 seconds on a question, for example. In games played in moves, finishing faster than a person could, such as under 3 seconds a guess in Test Mule. And a Test Mule found on the first guess on a live daily.

What happens to a flagged round?

It stays off the boards and out of league XP until a person clears it. It still counts for your total XP. No account action comes from a flag.

Will I be told?

No notice is sent today, and the app does not mark the round. You might only see that a score is missing from a board.

How do I appeal?

Write to us with your leaderboard name, the date, the game and the marque. A person reviews flags and can put a round back on the boards. There is no form, and no set deadline for an answer.

Can my account be suspended?

The terms say we may suspend an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks the rules, such as using bots or scripts, collecting questions or republishing them, and that we will tell you why.

What about duels?

A pair whose duels look like traded wins has its points stopped while a person reviews it. The duel says "This pair's results are being looked at". See divisions.
