Not receiving our emails
Updated
Our emails come from My Hangar, [email protected]. Most missing ones are in the spam folder or waiting behind a typo in the address.
What should I check first?
Your spam or junk folder, and any promotions tab. Then search the mailbox for "My Hangar". Then check the address you typed: the sign-up page shows it after you press Create account.
Why does the page say "if" the address can be registered?
So that nobody can use the form to find out who has an account. It says the same whether or not a message was sent. A sign-up on an address with a confirmed account sends "You already have a My Hangar account" and no link. A reset request on an address with no account sends nothing.
Can I ask for another one?
Yes. Links are limited to one a minute per address and kind, and repeats inside that minute do nothing. Wait a minute before asking again. The older link keeps working until the new one has gone out.
How long do the links last?
Confirming your account: 24 hours. Resetting your password: 1 hour. Confirming the newsletter: 7 days. Each works once.
What if the newsletter says the address was refused?
"Mail to this address bounced or was reported as spam, so we can't send to it" means exactly that. Once an address has bounced or complained, we do not mail it again, and subscribing again does not undo that. If you think it was a mistake, write to us.
Which emails can I not turn off?
Account and security emails go out even if you have unsubscribed from marketing: confirming, resets and password-change notices, and billing emails if you hold a plan.
